E.B. Combs

E.B. Combs, 88, of Jonesboro passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Newport, Arkansas on May 21, 1926, to the late Clyde and Fannie Sue Roberts Combs. He had lived in Jonesboro most of his life and worked for the City of Jonesboro. He was a WWII Army Veteran, where he was honored to serve his country proudly and a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Martha Pearline Combs, son; Carl Wayne Combs, grandchildren; Jeremy Combs, Tammy Joe Smith, 2 brothers; Delmer Combs, Carl Combs and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He leaves behind 4 sons; Eddie Combs, Danny Combs, David Combs (Jeanette) and Kenneth Combs all of Jonesboro.
Daughters; Donna Brand (James) of Bay, and Jo Ann Johnson of Pocahontas.

Sister; Irene Glover of Jonesboro.
Brother; Jerry Combs of Jonesboro.

21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Nieces; Shirley Collins, Connie Combs Pagan.
Nephews; Tommy Glover, Donald Combs and Dennis Combs.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Macey Cemetery in Monette with Michael Nutt officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 9:00 A.M until 10:00 A.M. at Emerson Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the, Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 E. Matthews Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 or to the Arkansas Children’s Home 5515 Walcott Road Paragould, AR 72450.
