Earl L. Metcalf

Earl L. Metcalf, 80, of Jonesboro, died Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived most of his life in Jonesboro and was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. Earl enjoyed photography as a hobby and was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha; daughter in law, Donna Metcalf; brothers, Tommy, Bill, Gerald, Vernon; sisters, Mildred Brookshire and Gina Metcalf.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Metcalf, of the home; sons, Rickey Metcalf and wife Patsy of Jonesboro; Rob Metcalf of Decatur Alabama; daughters, Cassandra Garner and husband Ed of Collierville, Tennessee; Vicki White and husband Paul of Jonesboro; sister, Flo Ward of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Joe Woody, Melanie Black, Chad White, Kelly Webb, Andy Metcalf and Camp Metcalf; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Monday, September 20, 2010 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Paul White and Don Seat officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with the six grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 2-4 Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home.
