E. W. Robertson, Jr.

Elmer Wade “E.W.” Robertson, 88, of Bono passed from this life Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born to Elmer Wade Sr, and Dora Bollinger Robertson in Manila , Arkansas. He was of Baptist belief and a WW11 US Army veteran. After the war he lived in Manila and farmed with his family for several years. Later, moving to Bono his passion was buying, trading and raising cattle. He was a member of the Cattlemen’s Association in Jonesboro. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed telling his children and grandchildren stories of his experiences while in the military.
E.W. is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jacob Robertson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Joycelyn, of the home; 2 sons: Wayde Robertson (Jeannette) of Jonesboro; Chuck Robertson of Little Rock; 2 daughters: Rachelle D’Eri (Louis) of Germantown, TN, and Renee Jones (Danny) of Katy, Texas; one brother, Harold (Ruth) of Jonesboro; 2 sisters, Mary Evelyn Smith of Anchorage, Alaska; Lana Fay King (Ray) of Jonesboro; 6 grandchildren, Cody Robertson, Nicholas Robertson, Logan Robertson, Ryan Robertson, Justin Jones, Joshua Jones; 2 great grandchildren, Kelby and Mattie Robertson
A graveside service will be Saturday, September 26th, 2:00 p.m. at Manila Cemetery with Rev Matt Pryor officiating.
