Dustin Meadows, 16, of Trumann, died Monday night, January 18, 2010, from injuries sustained in a train-pedestrian accident in Trumann.
Born in Jonesboro, Dustin lived in Black Oak, Monette and Jonesboro before moving to Trumann in 2001. He was a ninth grader at Trumann Junior High School where he was a member of the football team. Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Taylor, in 1998.
Survivors include his parents: Kevin and Connie Taylor Meadows of the home;
1 brother, Taylor Meadows of the home;
His maternal grandmother, Peggy Taylor of Paragould; and
His paternal grandparents, Bob and Pat Meadows of Monette.
A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the Trumann Intermediate School Auditorium with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery north of Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers include Dustin Hanna, Taylor Meadows, Cameron Wright, Johnathan Holmes, Josh Evan and Alex McClung.
Honorary pallbearers include members of the Trumann Junior High Football Team.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
