Durand Gallion, age 58, of Brookland, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 21, 1965, in Jonesboro to his loving parents, Jim and Linda Gallion.

Durand went and played football at Jonesboro High School during the late 70s, Nettleton Highschool, and finished up at Brookland Highschool where he graduated in 1983. Known for his vivacious spirit, he was an avid fan of wrestling and NASCAR, always finding joy in the thrill and excitement of both sports. His passion for technology was evident when he made history by selling the first flip phone in the state of Arkansas.

Durand was also a passionate and devout Christian, and his faith played a significant role in his life.

As a business owner, Durand was the proud proprietor of G & M Glass Company, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. In addition to running his own business, he worked for Aflac Insurance for five years, building a reputation for his hard work and commitment to excellence.

Durand is preceded in death by his father, Jim Gallion, and his paternal grandmother, Dulcie Rogers, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the eternal rest.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his beloved mother, Linda Gallion of Jonesboro; his son, Colton Gallion of Paragould; and his daughter, Brittany Etter, along with her husband, Wayne, of Bono. His legacy continues through his two grandchildren, Alexis Etter and Cody Etter, and his great-grandchild, Adalynn Etter. Durand also leaves behind a lifetime of friends who will miss him dearly.

All services will be private, as the family honors Durand’s life and the joy he brought to those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
