Dr. Sidney Charles Haley

February 26, 1930 — February 22, 2009

Dr. Sidney Charles Haley, 78, of Jonesboro, died Sunday February 22, at South Wind Heights in Jonesboro.

He was born in Flint, Michigan and had lived in Jonesboro since 1971, moving here from Corning, Arkansas, where he lived there for 10 years.

He attended the Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from there in 1956. He was a self employed Doctor of chiropractic and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was a member of the Nettleton Masonic Lodge #32.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Grider Haley, parents, Sidney Burl and Millie Ann Williams Haley and one brother John Haley.

Survived by his four sons, Dr. Sam Haley and wife Susan of Quitman, Arkansas. Dr. David Haley and wife Sandra of Jonesboro. Mark Haley and Tim Haley and wife Dawna, both of Bono. One daughter, Tamra Martin and husband Joe of Tampa, Florida.

One brother, Burl Haley of Piggott, Arkansas.

Two sisters, Barbara Hampton of Benton, Arkansas and Marilyn Spicer of Mentone, California and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 10:00a.m. Saturday February 28, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Scott Chadwick officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private at a later date.
