Dr. Robert F. Rossa

Dr. Robert F. Rossa, age 63, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died early Sunday morning, October 23, 2005, at his home in Jonesboro.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois, Dr. Rossa lived in Norman, Oklahoma before moving to Jonesboro 36 years ago. He was a retired professor of Math and Computer Science at Arkansas State University where he taught from 1969-2004.

He earned a doctorate at the University of Oklahoma and was a member of numerous professional organizations. He was named a President’s Fellow in 1981 at ASU. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Jonesboro where he was a past Chairman of the Board.

He was preceded in death by his father: Frank Rossa, and by his mother: Launa Lovejoy Rossa.

Survivors include:

His Wife: Dean Shelton Rossa of the home, and

1 Daughter: Jennifer Rossa of Brooklyn, New York.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, October 25, 2005 at 10:30 at the First Christian Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Jerry Wilcox officiating. Burial will be private.

Honorary pallbearers include: Sandra Barnett, Virgina Covington, Thelma and Larry Hostetter, Frances Byrne, Gina Winchester, Ed Hammerand, R.P. Smith, Richard Tangeman, and the elders of First Christian Church.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
