Dr. K. Dewayne Eubanks

Dr. K. Dewayne Eubanks, 46, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Scattercreek in Paragould, AR.

He was born in Athens, Alabama and had lived in Jonesboro for 10 years, moving here from the Alabama area. He was of the Church of Christ belief.

A loving husband and father and dedicated neurosurgeon, he is survived by his wife, Debra Eubanks of Jonesboro; daughters, Kayla Eubanks of Orlando, Fla. And Anna-Grace Eubanks of Jonesboro; sons, Will Eubanks of Fayetteville, Austin Eubanks of Stafford, Va., and Colton Eubanks of Jonesboro; step-daughter, Priscilla Jones of Jonesboro; and step-son, Shane Jones of Paragould; and grandson, Tristan Jones; granddaughter, Loren Jones; step-grandchildren, Brittany and Kaitelyn Sammons.

Other survivors include his mother, Linda Adams of Athens, Ala.; brother, Richard Greene of Ardmore, Ala. and sister, Jennifer Eubanks of Athens, Ala.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Eubanks; grandparents, Alvis and Clora Adams and John W. and Vona Eubanks, all of Athens, Ala.
Dewayne was a member of the American Association of Neurosurgeons, National Rifle Association and American Legion. He was a Major in the United States Army National Guard and served with Co. G (Airborne) 143rd Infantry Regiment out of Houston, Texas.

Funeral service will be held at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro at 1 p.m. on April 9. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro in charge.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
