Dr. Jim Bradley

Dr. Jim Bradley, 73, of Jonesboro died Tuesday at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He had lived in Jonesboro since 1981, moving here from Trenton, Tennessee. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He received his Bachelor of science degree in 1962 from Memphis State University and his Master of Science in 1966 from Memphis State. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee Medical Center in 1971. He was a former Chief of Staff at NEA Medical Center and also the former Director of Emergency Services at NEA Medical Center. He had a Family Practice from 1981 to 2005. He is preceded in death by his father Dr. James F. Bradley Sr. of Rosemark, Tennessee; his mother, Margaret Holloway, Bradenton, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joy Fisher Bradley, of the home; Children, Jon, Laurie, Andrea, David, Jason, James, Josh, and Jade; one brother, Robert Bradley and wife Roxie, of Edgemont, Arkansas; three sisters, Barbara, Carole, and Hilda; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; and his canine companions which were rescue dogs, Sparky, Lucy, Sophie, and Piccolo.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edward Pruett and Rev. Arthur Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 Saturday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Brown, Bob Bradley, Jon Bradley, Jimmy Durmon, Gerald Barber and Zach Bradley.
