Dr. Jerry Ray Biggerstaff, 71, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1949 in Overton, Texas to the late Alvin and Hazel Biggerstaff. Dr. Jerry was a 1967 Salutatorian graduate of Overton High School. He then attended Kilgore Community College and later attended the University of Texas. After graduating with a BA in Microbiology, Dr. Jerry attended Louisiana State University Medical School. After graduating from LSU, Dr. Jerry did his Medicine Residency through The University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock and was placed in Osceola then Jonesboro.
After Dr. Jerry finished his residency, he practiced at NEA Baptist Clinic for many years as a family doctor and also worked as an emergency room doctor. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, bicycling and he also loved art work. He also enjoyed the holidays and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Lundie Biggerstaff of the home; son, Matthew (Wendy) Biggerstaff of Hernando Mississippi; grandchildren, Gibson and Isaac Biggerstaff both of Hernando, Mississippi; twin brother, Dr. James Roy (Elizabeth) Biggerstaff of Orange Park Florida; nephew, James Foster Biggerstaff of Orange Park, Florida; niece, Celena Knowles of Orange Park Florida and a host of other family and friends. Dr. Jerry also remained very close to Lundies first husbands family.
Graveside service will be Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. John Miles officiating.

Lundie in Trumann will be closed Thursday, November 5, 2020 in remembrance of Dr. Jerry Ray Biggerstaff.
