Dr. Herman D. (Hd) Alston Jr.

Dr. Herman D. (HD) Alston Jr., 91, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at his home. Herman was born in Leachville, Arkansas on December 17, 1927, to the late Herman D.Sr., and Elizabeth Hutton Alston. Herman was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired dermatologist. Herman enjoyed his Saturday morning coffee club, was an avid reader and loved woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Steven D. Alston, son; Melissa Ann Alston, granddaughter; and Dorothy Gene Towles, sister.

Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Vivian O. Alston.

Dr. Phillip R. Alston, son of North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Karen S. Alston, daughter, of Beebe, Arkansas.

Michael, Blake, Sean (Yen) and Jana Alston, grandchildren.

Rex Hai Alston, great-grandson.

Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist church with Rev. John Miles officiating.
