Doyle Lewis

Doyle Lewis, 72, of Jonesboro died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born and raised in Jonesboro and was of the Baptist belief. While growing up he loved to hunt and fish. His dog “Doller” was his best friend. He enjoyed helping young children understand and play baseball.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Flossie Lewis; son, Chad Edward Lewis; brothers, Edward Wayne Lewis, Bobby Lewis, Norman Lewis and Bonnie Milton Lewis Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Pat McCrackin Lewis of the home; sister Pat (Jack) Wright of Jonesboro; brothers-in-law Bob (Betty) McCrackin of Springdale; Van (Gail) McCrackin of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jerry Jolly officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery with the Valley View Class of 1961 serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
