Doyle Altman Hughes, Jr.

Doyle Altman Hughes, Jr., 57 of Palm Bay, Florida passed from this life Wednesday August 19, 2015 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Florida.

Doyle was born April 5, 1958 to Doyle Altman, Sr. and Eva Holloway Hughes. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James F. and Emma Masters Hughes; maternal grandparents, Lee Anderson and Ethel Clark Holloway and his father, Doyle Hughes, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Eva Hughes of Palm Bay, Florida; 1 sister, Anne Bozarth (Jerry) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 2 brothers, James F. Hughes of Palm Bay, Florida and Carey Griffin of Maumelle, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doyle was a guy with a big heart and a sense of humor like no other. He was happiest with family and friends and cheering on his favorite teams, the Redskins and the Vols. He enjoyed cooking on the grill with a little Blues on the side. We must not leave out his companion, “Myrtel” the cat who was by his side for many years.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August, 26, 2015 from 1-2 PM at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Service will begin at 2 PM with Don Miller officiating.
Pallbearers include Jared Bozarth, James Doyle Hughes, Michael Hughes, Alan Brewer, Roger Scott, Robert Sutton. Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery.
