Doyal Wesley Lowery, 66, of Trumann died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the former Promiseland Missionary Baptist Church.
A son of the late James Elmer Sr. and Lois Ion Lowery he was born in Trumann. He was preceded in death by brothers James Jr., and Leroy Lowery, and a sister, Shirley Lowery. He was retired from Equity Trucking and was an employee of Taylor and Stuckey.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Delilia Frances Lowery; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Nansi Lowery of McCrory, James and Sherri Lowery of Trumann, and Gaylen and Tabitha Lowery of Harrisburg; daughters and son-in-law, Kim and Greg Chaffin of Warm Springs, Arkansas and Sheryl Lowery of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and fourteen grandchildren; Courtney, Aaron, Christopher, Wesley Chance, Sydney, Sabrina, Destiny, Joseph, and Austin Lowery; Danielle, Tyler, and Myles Chaffin; and Dustin and David Riding
Family and friends visitation will be from 5 – 8 Monday night, April 27, 2009 at the First General Baptist Church of Trumann. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 009 at the First General Baptist Church in Trumann with Reverend Paul Hale and Reverend Darrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Jeff Lowery, Eric Lowery, Scott Wilson, Keith Williams, Scott Foshee, and Tony Williams Jr.
