Dovie Ann Goza, 82, departed this life on September 26, 2026, at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on February 14, 1944 in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to Lee and Myrtle Golden, being the youngest of ten children.

Dovie was an exceptional homemaker, keeping her home spotless, making it feel warm and inviting, cooking for family and friends, and creating a welcome space for countless friends and family over the years. She married her soulmate Jimmy Goza on May 4th 1962. They settled in Apt community and raised their family there. Together they attended First General Baptist Church in Trumann, while teaching their whole family how to love God, work hard, and how to enjoy life while being together.

Dovie enjoyed fishing, going to the family cabin, yard sales, collecting antique bottles, and keeping her yard looking nice with flowers and plants. She was always ready to use her talents in helping friends, family and neighbors. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and the blessed lifetime of memories they made together. Evening times were spent relaxing and having coffee with family and her lifelong neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, Eldest son Jimmy Dale and her middle son Kenny.

Dovie is survived by her youngest son Jeff (Tracy) Goza of Bono, her two bonus sons, Charlie Goza of Jonesboro and Terry (Annette) Goza of Jonesboro; her sister Rosie (Bob) Banks of Jonesboro; Two granddaughters, Jessica (Kyle) Strickland of Bono, Jordan (Adam) Kelley of Jonesboro and three great grandchildren. Dovie is also survived my many nieces, nephews and extended family which she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 2:00-3:00 on Wednesday, September 29, 2026, at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Horner officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
