Douglas Harold Calahan, 62, of Lake City, Arkansas, died October 6th, 2024 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born in Tulare, California on November 9, 1961, to Bobbie and Bill Calahan, Doug grew up in Kopperl, Texas until he moved to Lake City in 1995 where he met his wife, Angelina Lynn (Barker) Calahan.
Doug was a crane operator and worked across the country doing what he loved for 35+ years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and uncle. His family always came first in everything he did and he adored his grandchildren most of all.
He is survived by wife Angelina Lynn (Barker) Calahan of the home and daughter Kenadi Calahan of the home. He is survived by daughter, Christina (Justin) Yager, of Cleburne, Texas, and his son Douglas (Tina) Calahan of Fallon, Nevada. He is survived by his sisters: Vickie, and Desiree; and brothers Michael, Ronnie, Timmy Tom (Stephanie). He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren Travis, Douglas Colt, Autumn, Rhett, Billy Harold, Henry, Beckham, Kallie Jean, Rylan, Remi, Finlee, Hayes, and Nash. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bobbie and Billy Calahan of Kopperl, Texas, son Billy Lynn Calahan of Kopperl, Texas, three brothers: Danny and Bill Eppard, and Billy Wayne Calahan, and his Granny Hair.
Doug’s celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on October 10, 2024 at Cane Island’s Bethabra Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Duffel officiating and Darin Owens reading the eulogy. Burial services will be private. Honorary pallbearers will be the Class of 1980 of Kopperl, Texas.
