Douglas “Doug” Laray Andrews, 39, of Jonesboro, formerly of Turrell, departed this life on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on February 24, 1987, in West Memphis, Arkansas.
Doug worked as an automotive sales mechanic, having worked with Smith Tire and Advance Auto Sales. He also attended Rust College for two years, continuing to build his knowledge and pursue his goals. Doug made a lasting impact on so many lives in his 39 years. He had a way of leaving his mark on the people around him, creating memories and friendships that will live on long after him.
Doug enjoyed the simple things in life, especially the things that brought him joy and allowed him to spend time with the people he loved. He enjoyed fishing, mud riding, and working on cars. He was also a passionate sports fan who loved cheering on his Arkansas Razorbacks and Los Angeles Lakers. He was a devoted fan of Kobe Bryant and admired his greatness on and off the court.
Above all, Doug cherished his family, especially his daughter, LaRaya. Whether spending time together or taking her fishing, those moments meant the world to him. His love for his family was evident, and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Doug's life touched so many people, and the love he gave and friendships he built will never be forgotten. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will continue to live on through everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Andrews, Sr.; his maternal grandmother; and his paternal grandparents.
Doug leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Gabrielle Andrews, of the home; his mother, Vicki Andrews, of Turrell; three daughters, Jaden Wallace and Breanna Wallace, both of Jonesboro, and LaRaya Andrews of the home; one brother, Paul Andrews, Jr., of Turrell; his maternal grandfather; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends who were blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Houston's Venue, located at 2384 Greene County Road 761, Brookland, Arkansas 72417. A repass will follow the service from 3:00 p.m. until approximately 10:00 p.m.
Doug will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his life was cut short, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the impact he made will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
