Dorothy Lavern Shelters

Dorothy Lavern Shelters, 94, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday January 31 , 2022.

She was retired from Fisher Body. Dorothy loved to ride motorcycles, and gardening in her younger years, she collected dolls for some time. Dorothy also loved to have fun and make people laugh all the while crying because she was laughing so hard herself.

Mrs. Shelters was preceded in death by her parents Arch and Pearl Thompson, 2 sisters Doris Chandler and Betty Miles 3 sons Donald, Ronald, and Johnny Curtis.

To keep her memory alive, she leaves her husband of 50 years, Floyd Shelters; her sons Charles Curtis (Renee) and David Curtis, her side kick and granddaughter Kristy Isome and 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

A visitation will be from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Burial will be private.
