Dorothy Pearl Lindley

Dorothy Pearl Lindley, 81, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Born in Cleburne County, Dorothy moved at an early age to the Tyronza area. She grew up and lived several years in Trumann before moving to Dyess and then to Jonesboro 4 years ago. She retired from Frolic Footwear in Jonesboro and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dyess. She enjoyed camping and fishing.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents: Roy S. and Blummer Cabitt May, a son William "Rusty" Tippitt, a daughter Marion Collett Adams, first husband Floyd Tippitt, second husband L.C. Lindley, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Patti) Tippitt of Jonesboro;
daughter, Susan (James) Davis of Jonesboro;
2 sisters, Easter Klimczak of Chicago, Illinois, and Ann Feldt of Cleveland, Ohio;
half brother, Jerry Manuel (Sandra) May of Vilonia;
12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Vuncannon officiating. Burial will follow in Tyronza Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Larry Tippitt, William "B.J." Tippitt, Shannon Tipitt, Michael Cerrato, Scott Burns, Lee Crawford and Robert Jones. Jason Tippitt will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. in Emerson Chapel.
