Dorothy J. Parham

Dorothy J. Parham, 95, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at her home in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Dorothy was born in Tipton Co. Tennessee on May 9, 1923, to Lee and Nettie Johnson.  Dorothy was a longtime resident of Memphis, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker and member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Burlison, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Crain and Chester Parham, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.  Dorothy is survived by son, Larry Crain (Kathy) of Memphis, Tennessee and daughter, Marilyn Ballew (Robert) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandchildren David Crain, Rob Ballew, Ashley Bibb, and Stephanie Dunigan; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 5668 Poplar Ave. in Memphis, Tennessee.  Funeral will begin at 2pm in the chapel with Bro. Mike Reynolds officiating, and burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home directing.  Pallbearers will be David Crain, Rob Ballew, Michael Bibb, and Roger Dunigan Jr.
