Dorothy Mccarty

Dorothy McCarty, 86, of Paragould died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Green Acres Nursing Home. She had lived in Paragould all of her life and was a member of the Paragould Church of God. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Maynard and Joe McCarty; sons, Jerry Maynard and J.L. Maynard; step-son Jimmy McCarty; brother, Paul Holcomb; sisters, Sylvia Taylor and Maudie Maynard.

Survivors include daughters, Darlene Riggs and husband Randy; Brenda Howard and husband Bobby; Viola Rogers and husband Gary; and Betty Files and husband Gene, all of Paragould; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 15, 2010 at Heath Funeral Home Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Michael Rogers, Gary Rogers, Bobby Howard, Ronnie Daniels, Robert Weldon, and men of the church serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Sunday night at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.
