Dorothy M Mayer

Dorothy Mayer, 84, died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

Dorothy was born in New York City on February 27, 1927, to the late Charles and Germaine Hoogenwerf, and she lived most of her life in New Jersey before moving to Jonesboro to be with family. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro. She spent most of career as a banker. She and her husband Howard, moved to Jonesboro, four and a half years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Howard of the home; she is had three special people in her life that were like her children; Dr. George M. De Roeck of Little Rock; Denise Malloy of Jonesboro; and Michele Gibson of Austin, TX.

Funeral services will be Private with Macagna Funeral Home in Cliffside Park, New Jersey in charge of all arrangements.
