Dorothy Jean "Tuff" Berry

Dorothy Jean “Tuff” Berry, 81, of Bono died Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived most of her life in Bono. Tuff was a great and loving mother and an excellent cook. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Darrell Berry of the home; daughters, Deborah Coggin (Don) of Bay; Kaye Dorton (Rickie) of Bono; Dana Martin (Rob) of Jonesboro; sister Barbara Louise Coleman; grandchildren, Gabriel Dorton, Nicole Brown, Carrie Thomas and Sheradin Martin; and eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Richey (Jerry); nephews, Heath Richey, Shane Richey; niece, Karen Oswald; great niece, Matina Jones; great nephew, Braydon Jones; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Monday, January 4, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ronnie Adams officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono with Gerald George, Ray Berry, Gary Oden, Gabriel Dorton, Rob Martin, and Kevin Oden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Don Coggin, Rickie Dorton, Jerry Richey and Don Oswald. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time on Monday.
