Doris Ann Yeager

Doris Ann Yeager, 71, of St. Charles, Missouri, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.  She was born in Jonesboro on October 9, 1950, to Alvie Thomas and Opal Thomas Sutterfield.  She was a homemaker and loved to take care of children.  Doris was considered the neighborhood grandmother.  She was an excellent provider, however, she hated to cook, so she loved to eat out.  She always enjoyed being outside and with friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her dad, Alvie Thomas, two brothers, Eugene Thomas and Marvin Thomas.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Freddie Yeager, of the home; son, Steve Yeager of Piggott, Arkansas; mother, Opal Sutterfield of Bay; brothers, Freddie Thomas and wife, Paula of Williford, Arkansas; sister, Dolores Sutterfield of Bay; two grandchildren, Zoe Copeland and Rainey Simmons.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Friday, January 14, 2022, at Emerson Funeral Home, with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Friday.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
