Doris H. Rogers of Jonesboro left this world on September 29, 2026 to be with Jesus in her Heavenly home. She was born on September 10, 1929 in Lake City to John E. Hooper and Maribell S. Hooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charlie C. Rogers of Pocahontas, whom she married in 1948.

She is survived by her only child, a son, David C. Rogers of Jonesboro. She is also survived by her only brother, Lynn C. Hooper (Lexalynn) of Alexandria, Virginia; one nephew, Stephen Hooper (Beth) of Florida.

Doris worked in finance for many years. She worked at People’s National Bank, Citizen’s Bank, United Federal Savings & Loan, Home Federal Savings & Loan and retired in 1995. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, volunteered at St. Bernards Hospital and at St. Bernards Village. She had a kind heart and was respected and loved by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro with Bro. Rodney Reeves officiating.
