Doris Hicks

Doris Hicks, 75, of Jonesboro died Monday at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Olen Hicks, of the home; one son, Gary Hicks and wife Suzan of Jonesboro; one daughter Belinda Wimpy and husband Mark of Jonesboro. She was “Meme” to four grandchildren, Candice Holloway, Haley Fitzgerald, Hannah Wimpy, and Jerred Hicks, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents , Charles M. and Mildred Boyd Miller; step-mother, Mary Evalee Miller; grandparents, Lon and Ailcia Miller; and one brother.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Mickey Bray, Cecil Brickell, Chris Dameron , Danny Dunigan, Eddie Dunigan, Eddie Hicks, Jimmy Dean Strother, Nick Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Caraway Central High School Class of 1951.
