Doris Hayse Whitley

Doris Kay Hayse Whitley, 59, of Jonesboro, passed from this world to her Heavenly home Friday evening at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Doris was born in Jonesboro and had lived her life in this community. She was a long-time office manager for two Dental Practices in Jonesboro: 23 years with Dr. Lewis O'Neal and 10 years with Dr. Keith Hendrix. She was a 1972 graduate of Jonesboro High School. She touched and inspired the lives of everyone she knew. Her strength, courage, and compassion will never be forgotten.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mildred Williams Hayse and by a brother, Gary Olen Hayse.

Survivors include her great love, friend, and husband of 39 years, Arlen Whitley, whom she married March 1, 1974;

Her devoted and loving daughter and son-in-law: Candace and Paul Bielins of Jonesboro;

2 brothers and sister-in-law: Larry and Carla Hayse and Forest Hayse, all of Jonesboro;

And, her greatest pride and joy; her grandson, Zachary Bielins of Jonesboro.

A memorial service will be Monday at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kevin Barnett officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00-2:00 in Emerson Chapel.
