Doris Dansby, 88, of Jonesboro died Thursday, January 25, 2007 in North Little Rock.
She was born in New Albany, Mississippi, and lived in Jonesboro for five years, moving here from Evansville, Indiana. She was a retired pharmaceutical researcher for Bristol Myers Squibb, and lead researcher for the Lederle Laboratory when mycin drugs were discovered. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Daisy Pruitt Dansby, two sisters Clara Sue Sims and Helen Brook.
Survivors include two nieces:
Marjorie Sims McKnight and her husband, Donald, of Jonesboro.
Judith Brook St. John and her husband, Peter, of Adelphi, Maryland.
One Nephew: Robert Dansby Brook and his wife, Teresa, of Starkville, Mississippi.
Six Grand Nieces and Nephews and Eight Great Grand Nieces and Nephews.
Private graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 29, 2007 in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory, Mississippi.
In lieu of visitation, there will be a Memorial Service Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Bernards Village Chapel with Rev. John Miles and Rev. David Schaller officiating.
