Doreen Threet, 65, of Jonesboro went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2018, at her home. Doreen was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 17, 1953.Doreen worked as an Insurance Enroller and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church.
She was a dedicated wife, devoted mother, and a superstar Memaw. Doreen was a hard worker in many different areas, but the joy of her life was her family. She loved to gather her extended family together for holidays and celebrations and went to great lengths to care for and spoil her family.
Doreen was preceded in death her parents, Jack and Grace Harriet Bruton, her son, Ryan Threet, granddaughter, Taylor Wade, Niece, Tessa Bruton, great nephew, Bryden Bruton and her Father and Mother-in-law, Dr. Kenneth and Ruth Threet.
Doreen leaves behind her husband, Bill Threet of the home.
Sons, Tyson Wade and Megan Hooton of Jonesboro.
Cory Wade (Catie) of Jonesboro.
Russell Threet (Sarah) of Mena, Arkansas.
Daughter, Shanna Bly (Scott) of Pottsville, Arkansas.
Brothers, Jackie Bruton (Sissy) of Datil, New Mexico and James Dunn of Sacramento, California.
Sisters, Sharon Bruton of Jonesboro and Lisabeth Gilbert (Damon).
Grandchildren, Wesley Wade, Ryan Wade, Tatum Hooten, Brady Wade, William Paul Threet, Jack Threet, Andrew Bly, and Luke Threet.
A Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018, at the Nettleton Baptist Church with Dr. Russell Threet and Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church on Monday.
The family requests memorials are made to the Nettleton Baptist Church Building Fund 7001 E. Johnson Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401 or the Autism Association of NEA 7001 E. Johnson Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
