Dora Bea Rogers

Dora Bea Rogers, age 79 , of Jonesboro passed from this life Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born in Monette, she spent most of her life in Jonesboro. Dora Bea was a homemaker, mother and loving wife to her husband Dr. James Rogers. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ, member of Birthday Club, member of chapter A. J. P.E.O. Dora held the office of secretary and treasurer in the Craighead Poinsett Medical Alliance and was past board member for Abilities Unlimited. She loved reading, musicals, plays and the arts.

Dora Bea is preceded in death by her parents Claud and Cleo Blevins Pyland; brothers, Charles and Bill Pyland; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. R.T. Blevins; paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Stephen Pyland; nephews, Lee Pyland and Terry Wayne Pyland.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Dr. James Rogers of the home; son, Dr. Tad Rogers and wife Sherry of Mt. Home; Beth Snodgrass and husband Dr. Scot Snodgrass of Jonesboro; sister, Bettye Rogers and husband Johnny Mack of Jonesboro; 2 grandchildren, Trey and Abby Rogers; and her faithful rescue poodle, Jacques Pierre Rogers.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, August 26, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Adcox and Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel from 2-4 pm.
