Dora Mae Barnhill

November 13, 1919 — April 19, 2021

Dora Mae Barnhill, 101, a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, died Monday, April 19, 2021 at NEA Baptist Medical Center. She was born on November 13, 1919, in Paragould, to Eddie and Flora Gilmore Todd.  She was the Past Worthy Matron of the Easter Star, where she was a member for over 60 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.  Dora retired from General Electric in Jonesboro.  She was a breast cancer survivor for over 70 years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barnhill; one son, Dewayne Barnhill; one daughter, Beverly Turner; two brothers, Virgil and Earl Todd; and two sisters, Mary Bishop and Opal Ellenburg.

Survivor includes her son, Roger Barnhill and his wife Carol of Jonesboro; granddaughters, Sherry (Brad) Franks of Jackson, Tennessee; Cindy (Danny) LeMaster of Dublin, Ohio; Sheila Barnhill of Jonesboro; and Stacy (Paul) Chappell Barnhill of Harrisburg; great grandchildren, Nikolas and Elisabeth Omland; Lance, Gavin and Jace Franks; and Sage LeMaster; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 Friday, April 23, 2021, at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould with Larry Bailey officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers are Paul Chappell, Brad Franks, Danny LeMaster, Lance Franks, Sage LeMaster and Steve Treadway.  Honorary pallbearers are Larry and Brenda Garner, and Gavin Franks. All other services will be private.
