Donald G. Stallings, 74, of Brookland, died on Monday, June 10, 2024. He lived most of his life in the Jonesboro/Brookland area. He was born in Brookland, on February 17, 1950, to Willard George and Marie Stalling. He worked as a lineman for Craighead Electric for many years. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Donald was the owner/operator of his own mechanic shop and also a cross-country trucker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Bill, Jerry and Larry.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Stallings, of the home; sons, Joshua Daniel Stallings of Brookland; Jerimie Butler and wife Stephanie of Thornton, Arkansas; sisters, Barbara Jean Purcell of Paragould; Wilma Stallings of Cave City; grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Case and Cheyenne.
A graveside service will be 2:30 Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kerry Kee, John Burk, Joshua Stallings, Jerimie Butler, Danny Bowles and Sam Moody. Honorary pallbearer is Scotty Stevens.
