Donald "Don" Gene Coggin

Donald “Don” Gene Coggin, 84, of Bono, passed away on November 15, 2023 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on March 13, 1939 in Caraway to James Coggin and Cora Mauney Coggin.

Don lived in Bono for the last 28 years and was a faithful member of Valley View Church of Christ. On September 2, 1961, Don married the love of his life, Rebecca.

He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. Most of all, Don loved spending time with his family. He treasured time with his grandchildren and loved to take them fishing.

In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by all 12 of his siblings.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Coggin; son, Shawn (Kristina) Coggin of Bono; daughter, Denise (Jeff) Webb of Jonesboro; brother-in-law, Paul Taylor of Caraway; grandchildren, Nathan Coggin of Bono, Eli Webb of Jonesboro, Jennifer (Michael) Carty of Jonesboro, Ethan (Sarah) Webb of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Trinity Cemetery in Bono on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. with Bro. Terry Smith officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
