Donal Bailey

Donal Bailey, 90, of Jonesboro, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He attended the Nettleton Baptist Church and was a member of the Sanctuary Class and also served in the US Army during WWII. Donal was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Bertie Bailey; sisters, Arlene Cline, and Ruby Bradford; brothers, Burley, Gene, Jewel and Noble Bailey.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Doris Bailey, of the home; his children, Cheryl McMasters and husband William, Lunsford; Son, James Don Bailey and wife, Rhonda, Trumann, Arkansas; daughters, Jewell Etta Chastain and husband, Jim; and Patricia Vincent and husband Greg, all of Jonesboro. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Autumn Eaves and husband, Beau; Aaron Chastain, and wife, Lynette; Bryan McMasters and wife, Christi; Tyler Bailey and wife, Stacy; Shelby Vincent, Cory Chastain, Jamie Rapert and husband, Jordan; and Meredith Vincent; great grandchildren, Rylee Bailey, Maddy McMasters, Ryder Eaves, Will Cossey, Greenlee Eaves; a host of nieces and nephews,brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 22, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Stan Ballard and Brother Danny Taylor officiating and burial to follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers are Robert and Joyce Chastain, Bernie Lammers, Tim Arwood, Jim and Darlene Felts, Stan McMillan, Glenn Bailey, Carbert Rodgers and the Nettleton Baptist Church Sanctuary Class. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 Sunday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
