Dianne Gail Aycock, 75, of Jonesboro went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday June 18, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 17, 1941 to the late George and Alice Lancaster. She had lived in Jonesboro most of her life and was the owner of Aycock Rental Properties and a member of First Baptist Church.
Dianne loved her children and grandchildren. Besides spending time with them, she enjoyed watching NBA basketball games and other sporting events. She loved having coffee with her friends, family and also buddies at Shipley’s. She grew up “picking cotton” and worked hard her whole life becoming a successful business woman. She had a strong work ethic and expected the same of others. Dianne spent many years volunteering at the First Baptist Church Care Center serving meals to people of need. She had a big generous heart. She lived the last few years of her life enjoying time with her special friend Gerald, attending Sunday School with him at Walnut Street Baptist Church; sitting at the “fun table” on Wednesday night’s at First Baptist Church; and attending dances at the Senior Citizens Center. She loved and looked forward to coming over to her daughter’s house and eating food off of Vince’s grill followed by a competitive game of spades. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Aycock, Brother. William Lancaster.
