Diane Newsom Wallis

Diane Wallis, 64, of Lake City, died Wednesday at her home. Born in Freeport TX, she had lived in Brookland before moving to Lake City five years ago.

She is survived by a son, Glen Wallis II and his wife Melissa of Brookland, two daughters; Danette Adams and her husband Homer of Brookland, and Katheryn Wallis of Gainesville, GA, also, one brother; Don Moreno of Lunsford, and two sisters; Betty George of Dawsonville, GA, and Denise Martin of Dahlonega, GA, as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Wallis, and her parents Herbert Newsom and Johnell Moreno.

Visitation will be at 5 pm on Friday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 6 pm.

All Services will be private.
