Diane Elaine Jeu

June 29, 1952 — December 26, 2024

Diane Elaine Cannon-Jeu, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, and is now resting in the arms of Jesus, her Savior. Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Diane was the eldest daughter of the late Patricia Dudley Cannon and R.E. Bud Cannon. She was a woman who gave of herself generously, and her life reflected a love for family, service, and laughter that will be forever cherished by all who knew her.

Diane’s journey began in the hallways of Buffalo Island Central High School, where she was the vice president of her class, showing the leadership and dedication that would define her life. After high school, she attended the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For over 25 years, Diane served as a nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock, where she was known as the charge nurse on her unit and loved by all of her colleagues and patients alike.

She was a devoted member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, an avid traveler, and someone who had an ability to light up any room with her quick wit and infectious laughter. Her bright blue eyes were windows to her vibrant spirit, and wherever she went, she made lifelong friends. Her love for adventure took her all over the world, but no matter where she went, her heart always led her back to her family.

Diane’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind her three children: Jon Jeu (Robin) of Conway, Spencer Jeu (Brittany) of Jonesboro, and Casey Jeu Rackley (Chase) of Little Rock. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable: Austin (Jordan), Jilliyn, and Abby Jeu of Conway; Charlee, Weston, and Selah Jeu of Jonesboro; Jack Titus, Cannon, and Rocco Rackley of Little Rock. She is also survived by her devoted siblings, David Cannon (Patti) of Springdale, Melinda Bennett of Jonesboro, and her stepmother, Lynnda Cannon of Jonesboro. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A memorial service to honor Diane’s life will be held on January 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Diane’s honor to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.

While Diane’s presence will be greatly missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Diane lived her life fully and with great purpose, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.
