Diana Kay Rhoads

March 11, 1954 — May 30, 2015

Diana Kay Rhoads, 61, passed from this life Saturday, May 30, 2015 at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born March 11, 1954 in Benton Harbor, MI. She was raised in Trumann and graduated from Trumann High School and later went on to graduate from cosmetology school. Diana was a faithful member of Alsup Baptist Church and was very active in her church, filling many roles, church clerk, teacher, food bank coordinator, VBS director, choir, food and fellowship coordinator and many more. A huge gap will be left in her passing at Alsup Baptist Church. Diana was also an accomplished seamstress and loved her work as a cosmetologist. She loved to cook for her family and was an avid collector of carousel horses. Diana had a big soft spot for Boston Terriers but she loved all breeds of dogs and cats. Diana loved her flower garden and sharing plants with others, traveling, going to singings, stock car races and spending time with her beloved husband. She was such a devoted and loyal friend to many. She loved her family whole heartedly. Diana was always willing to do or be whatever was needed to make their lives richer. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt to so many both by blood and simply by heart. Diana filled so many gaps in so many lives it is impossible to list her many roles. She was such a blessing lent to us for such a short time and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother Wilma Moore, and adoptive parents Ben and Nettie Riggins.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of five months: Jimmy Rhoads; father: Rev. Leon Minick and father in law: Chester Rhoads; two sons; Wayne (Katheryn) Nix of Jonesboro and Dan (Sheila) Rhoads of Grand Forks, ND; two daughters: Sara Kelems of Jonesboro and Alicia (Wayne) Olson Fargo, ND; one brother: Tom Moore of Benton Harbor, MI; two sisters: Sue Rodriguez of Benton Harbor, MI and Debbie (Bill) Davidson of Bono; and five grandchildren.
