Dian Burns

Dian Richie Burns, 66 of Salem, VA died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Jonesboro Healthcare Center in Jonesboro.

Dian was born on February 5, 1946 to the late Odell Richie and Kathryn Richie in Bay, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Bay High School, and later attended Arkansas State University. She lived most of her life in Virginia, and came back to Jonesboro this past year to be close to her mother. She attended First Baptist Church of Bay. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister. Even though she was such a talented and passionate person the things that will be missed most were her beautiful smile and loving personality.

She was survived by her daughter and son in law, Jill and Stephen Malinchock of South Riding, VA; mother, Kathryn Richie; two grandchildren, Holden and Kendall Malinchock of South Riding, VA; a brother and his wife, Douglas and Janette Richie all of Bay; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00pm in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Stephen Malinchock and Danny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chase, Ben, and David Hundley, Michael and Jeremy Ashlock, and Brandy Scott.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time in the Emerson Memorial Chapel.
