Devin William Dicus, 35, of Jonesboro tragically passed from this life on Monday, August 29, 2022. He was born on June 8, 1987 to Gary and Dana Dicus in Indianapolis, Indiana. Devin graduated from Danville Community High School in Danville, Indiana and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in the Culinary Arts.
Devin had a love of music and enjoyed playing music with his wife. Devin also had a love of food and creating new dishes and sharing food with family and friends. Devin had a love of teaching, he would share his culinary knowledge with anyone and he also taught his wife and daughter how to play the drums. Devin also loved dad jokes and writing jokes to perform at open-mic comedy nights. He earned a lot of laughs. However, Devin’s greatest love was his family and spending as much time as possible with his wife, Kat, and daughter, Emma. Devin is a wonderful father, husband, son and friend and he will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen Dale Dicus; aunt, Michelle Gunn; and uncle, Jared Van Jamison.
Devin is survived by his wife, Kathleen Dicus of Jonesboro; 9-year-old daughter, Emma Josephine Dicus of Jonesboro; parents, Gary and Dana Dicus of Danville, Indiana; brother, Elliot Dicus (Jill) of San Fransico; grandmother Alta Joan Dicus; in-laws, Ricky and Juliet Averion; sister-in-law, Kaitlyn Averion; brother-in-law, Jake Averion. Devin leaves behind a host of other family and friends to mourn his loss.
On Saturday, September 3, 2022, Emerson Funeral Home will be hosting the visitation starting at 1 pm followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. (Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 East Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro AR 72401)
After the funeral service please head to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Parish Center for food and refreshments, located at 1107 E. Highland Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
