Dennis Neal Nichols, 47, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. Dennis was born in Jonesboro on August 22, 1970, to Jerry Nichols and Shirley Cooper. Dennis lived in Jonesboro his entire life and worked as a scale house operator for Riceland Foods. He was a member of the Needham Baptist church. Dennis loved to spend time with his children, family, playing golf, and was a gun connoisseur.

Dennis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, R.L. and Iva Lee Nichols, step-grandparents, Ray and Jewell Cooper. Maternal grandparents, Roy and Alice Henson.
Survived by his father, Jerry Nichols of Jonesboro.
Mother, Shirley Cooper (Larry) of Jonesboro.
Son, Tyler Holcomb of Jonesboro.
Daughter, Hayley Nichols of Maumelle, Arkansas.
Brother, Terry Nichols of Jonesboro.
Sister, Shelly Nichols of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 13, 2018, in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Jake Slayton, Jared Nichols, Robert Woodall, Michael Roland, Terry Sullivan and Vincent Ware.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Nichols, Jimmy Henson, Patrick Henson, Kyle Roltsch and Shannon Henson.
