Dennis Bradford Murphy

Dennis Murphy, 56, of Lake City, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at his home. He was born in St. Louis but lived in the Lake City area his entire life. Dennis was a very active and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Lake City. Dennis loved his church and taking mission trips with other church members. This year he has been on mission trips to Colorado and, most recently, to Joplin, Missouri.

Dennis is survived by his brothers and their wives, Don & Diann Murphy, Pevely, Missouri, Ken & Annette Murphy, Lake City, and Mike & Colleen) Murphy, Imperial, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel & Mary Sue Craft Murphy; and one brother, Larry Murphy.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lake City with Rev. Jon Lorch officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lake City.
