Dennis Lloyd Hammett

Dennis Lloyd Hammett, 57, a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, died Saturday, February 1, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital.  He was of the Pentecostal belief.  Most of his adult life he was a truck driver.  According to his family, he enjoyed fishing, loafing and napping.  He was preceded in death by his father, Huey Hammett.

Survivors include his son, Steven Fair (Ashley) of Oldsmar, Florida; daughter, Shaina Morgan (Brad); mother, Vera Hammett; brothers, Ron Hammett Sr., David Hammett all of Jonesboro; Randy Hammett of Trumann; sisters, Betty Koros (Paul) of Jonesboro; Lisa Williams (Terry) of Brookland; Lana Martin (Harold); Dana Hammett of Jonesboro; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 12:30 Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Pine Log Cemetery with Rick Hathcoat officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 10:00 until noon on Wednesday.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
