Dena Campbell

Dena Juanita Campbell, 90, of Bono passed from this life, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born September 19, 1934 in Jonesboro to the late Harry and Essie Cook. Dena has lived in the Jonesboro area all of her life where she was also a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Dena was a loving wife, Mom, and Nanny who was very devoted to attending her kids and grandkids events no matter the circumstance. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, as well as her many church activities.

In addition to her parents, Dena is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joe Mack Campbell; sisters, Ellen Brewer, Emily Harris and Betty Jean Gwyn as well as a grandson, Casey Campbell.

She is survived by her sons, Keith Campbell of Jonesboro, Joe Mack, Jr. “Buster” (Linda) Campbell of Black Oak and Benny Campbell of the home; daughter, Kerri (David) Felts of Bono; sister, June LaFleur of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren: Kristy (Cade) Wilson, Katey (Matt) Taylor, Kyley (Clay) Mitchell, Bryan (Erica) Campbell, Douglas Hundley, Dustin (Ellen) Hundley, Lane Campbell, Avery (Ansley) Felts and Mallie Felts; nine great-grandchildren, Kenzley (Ben) Walker, Riley Campbell, Brady Campbell, Rainey Campbell, Canton Mack Taylor, Kelvey Joe Taylor, Kaizen Mitchell, Callahan Mitchell and Sloane Hundley.

Service will be in the Emerson Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Tommy Tombs and Rev. Jonathan Griesse officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers: Cade Wilson, Bryan Campbell, Douglas Hundley, Matt Taylor, Dustin Hundley, Clay Mitchell, Ben Walker, Lane Campbell and Avery Felts.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday April 18, 2025 at the Emerson Memorial Chapel.
