Deloris Lamb

Deloris Lamb, 74, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, January 20, 2007, at her home. She was born in Weiner and grew up in the Bono area, living most of her life in Jonesboro. She graduated from ASU with a nursing degree and was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Lamb, her brother, Jerry Simpson and her parents, Roy and Ruby Simpson.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Marcus Whitley; Ranette and Tommy Gambill both of Jonesboro. She is also survived by her sister Eva Lea Castleberry of Jacksonville, Arkansas and by seven grandchildren and their spouses. Her grandchildren are Allen Adams and his wife Leslie, Ashley Shelton and her husband Brian , Shawn Gambill, Jason Gambill, Kasandra King and her husband Brad, Matthew Whitley and his wife Misty, Brooke Matthews and her husband Robert and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 22, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother David Gibson and Brother Terry Smith officiating and burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Allen Adams, Jason Gambill, Shawn Gambill, Brian Shelton, Matthew Whitley, and Brad King. Honorary pallbearers are Stinson Shelton, Gage Adams and Tyler Adams. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Sunday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
