Delbert "Gene" Hathcoat

Delbert “Gene” Hathcoat, 63, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born to Delbert and Wanda Hathcoat on April 20, 1958 in Paragould. Gene always took great joy in helping others, whistling a tune, and spreading the Gospel with his voice. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren).

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sandra Hathcoat of the home; sons, Ben Smith (Stephanie) of Conway, James Gillean of Brookland, and Matthew Gillean (Meagan) of Brookland; parents, Delbert and Wanda Hathcoat of Brookland; brothers, Mike Hathcoat (Lana) of Olive Branch, Rick Hathcoat (Rhonda) of Brookland, and Daniel Hathcoat (Lisa) of Jonesboro; sisters, Kathy Thompson (Jerry) of Jonesboro and Rhonda Franklin (Shane) of Wynne; grandchildren, Kylee Smith, Camryn Smith, Kelsey Gillean, Kinley Gillean, Nash Gillean, Pace Gillean, and  Steelie Gillean. Gene also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on November 18, 2021 at Woods Chapel General Baptist Church with Rick Hathcoat speaking.
