Delbert Felkins

September 3, 1939 — October 12, 2016

Delbert Felkins, 77 of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Lexington Place. He was born in the Bono area and has lived here all of his life. Delbert was a member of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Bono. He retired from The Jonesboro Sun as a typesetter. He enjoyed his grandchildren, working in the yard and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister and step-brother.

Survivors include his wife Patricia of 24 ½ years of the home; son, Jeff Felkins (Sharla) of Mt. Home; stepdaughters, Pamela Galloway (Paul) of Raleigh, N.Carolina and Kimberly Morgan (David) Roanoke, Virginia; brothers, Leon (Diane ) Felkins, Vicksburg, Mississippi; Jimmy (Sharon) Felkins of Bono and step-brother David (Lee) Hoaglan of Henrico, N. Carolina; sisters, Doniece Tyler and Earline Hendrix, both of Jonesboro; 7 grandchildren, Jacey Felkins, Shaley Felkins, Brandy Holiday, Jason Davis, David Allen Morgan, Spencer Morgan, Lauren Baker; and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel from 5-7 pm. Services will be Saturday morning, October 14, 2016 at 10 am at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Richard Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Heath Hendrix, Joel Felkins, Johnny Dale Neal, Scotty Cook, Garrett Felkins and Wilson Felkins, Cody Hendrix and Jackson Hendrix

Honorary pallbearers include the past and present employees of The Jonesboro Sun.
