Debra Jean Jones, affectionately known as “Debbie” of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the age of 76.

Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose life was centered around people she loved and her faith in Jesus. She was a woman with a kind heart, a creative spirit, and a love for her family that will continue to live on through generations.

Debbie was the owner of Pet Quarters in Jonesboro for 35 years, where she dedicated herself to her work and became a familiar and beloved presence in the community. She took great pride in the years she spent there and in the many people and animals she encountered along the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents Burlus Duffel and Obera Bailey, Cletus Duffel, Mary Duffel (Lomax) and Ronnie Duffel.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, David Jones, her daughters, Michelle Sanders, Shanda (Kevin) Woods and Ashley Bagwell. Grandchildren, Alex (Ashley), Jaden, Jesi, Summer (James), Luke (Shelby), and Sam. Great grandchildren Avyian and Suttyn. Siblings Rickey Duffel, Jimmy Duffel, Terry Duffel, Mickey Duffel, Roger Duffel, Steve Duffel, Teresa Jones, Robert Long and Marie Long.

Debbie loved Jesus and her faith was an important part of her life. Her love for God reflected in the way she lived and loved. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace and is now with Jesus.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Debbie at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
