Debra "Debbie" Sue Tackett

Debra Sue Tackett, known as Debbie to friends and family, was born on August 26, 1955, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Virgil Lee Carter and Patricia Marie Carter.

We announced Debbie’s departure of life on September 25th, 2026. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother, and friend. Debbie had a deep love and sense of loyalty to those she surrounded herself with. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, cooking meals, opening her home to everyone, and a good game of bingo on Friday nights. Debbie dreamed of owning a fast car and her own cleaning company just as her parents did. Debbie was a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, where she met her late husband, Irvin Tackett Jr. and welcomed her three children, Christina, Renee, and Timothy. Debbie found her way to Trumann, Arkansas to be with her mother where she resided for over 30 years. She was a dedicated employee of Jr’s Recovery Service alongside her husband for 45 years. Debbie departed this life as a resident of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Debbie is proceeded in death by her father, Virgil Lee Carter, mother, Patricia Marie Carter, husband, Irvin Tackett Jr., daughter, Christina Clark, brother, Bobby Beard. Debbie leaves behind brothers, Steve Copeland, Steve Carter, Don Carter, Ronald Carter, sister Diane Cox, daughter, Renee Tackett, son, Timothy "Tim" Tackett, 6 grandchildren, Destini "Skyy", Alexis, Leslie, Aidan, Braxton, Aubrey, and honorary grandchild Kylee, and 4 great-grandchildren, Eden, Charles "Charlie", Blakely, and Sloane.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Gary Matney officiating and Emerson Funeral in charge of arrangements.
