Debra Lea Taylor Chastain

Debra Lea Taylor Chastain of Jonesboro, formerly of Batesville departed this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at her residence at the age of 66. She was born to the late Nolan Bess and Jeanie McPherson Taylor on September 26, 1955, in Batesville, Ar.

Debra was a nurse for 20 years in the Batesville area. She always loved playing different games on her tablet, so much so she would take as many pens as she could find with a stylist. She would spend time reading and loved being around the animals. Debra enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents Debra was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Kelli Hicks (Terry) of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Cody Allen Hicks (Dallas) of Jonesboro, Austin Gage Hicks (Jordan) of Paragould, and Kayla LeNelle Smart of Batesville; and several adopted kids and grandkids through out the years.

Family will be holding a Celebration of Life  Friday, January 21, 2022, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Batesville, AR ( 1611 Harrison St, Batesville, AR 72501) beginning at 3:30 p.m.
